Preschool News

This Week’s Highlights:

Our school year is moving unbelievably fast!!  This week found us focusing our learning on letter Uu and number 12.

Crafts included putting USA stickers on letter Uu, driving cars dipped in paint around a U shaped racetrack (so fun!), placing fingerprint raindrops on an umbrella, and we did the very popular upside down coloring- unusual!

We explored a Uu basket and number 12 counting jar, put thumbs up for Uu (language lesson), completed an obstacle course going over and under, and met an elephant wearing some fancy underwear (snicker).

We played a fun umbrella game (following directions), reviewed colors using umbrellas, climbed under a rope, reviewed prepositions using cars and garages, lined alphabet letters to Uu, and went on a Uu search.

In addition, we put together an umbrella puzzle, played on the playground, searched for Easter eggs, and unwrapped a surprise snack.  We also loved eating upside down sundaes today.

Our AM class went to the library for a special story on Wednesday and the PM class enjoyed gym class on Thursday. .

Odds and Ends:

  • Our OTES life skill for the week was patience- to wait calmly for someone or something.

  • kids with athlethic gear
  • Remember- as the weather warms (yay!), we will try to go on the playground daily.  Dress appropriately please.

  • Thank you to the families who donated some gently used toys to our preschool classroom- ALWAYS appreciated!
