This Week’s Highlights

Welcome back to school after what was hopefully a fun, safe, and relaxing spring break.  We are now ready for our last weeks together before summer break.

We focused our learning on letter Ww and number 14, and whew (!) we were busy!

Crafts included watercolor painting on Ww, constructing colorful windsocks to hang in our classroom, and we used squirt bottles and coffee filters to create wonderful worlds.

We also explored a Ww basket and number 14 counting jar, whispered, waved, and winked.  We went on wagon rides, built a waterfall, practiced writing, and met Willie Worm.

And, we read about windy weather, walked BIG and little steps, and made wishes with a wishing wand.  Special Ww snacks for the week:  wafers, worms (gummy), and waffles- yum!

The AM class participated in PE on Monday and the PM class went to the library for a story on Tuesday.  The AM class celebrated a birthday on Wednesday and the PM class welcomed a new student on Monday- fun and exciting!!  Thank you to the birthday boy’s family for sending in wonderful birthday snacks.

Our OTES life skill this week was problem solving- to seek solutions to difficult situations.
