This Week’s Highlights:
We will spend these next couple weeks of school reviewing lessons, Kindergarten readiness skills, and participating in activities the children loved during the school year.
We are also continuing our number learning up to 20 with this week’s special number being #18.
Crafts included putter painting, cutting shapes, and constructing our annual Indy race cars to decorate our preschool/Kindergarten hall.
We reviewed colors and shapes, explored a number 18 counting jar, marched with streamers, learned some new summer songs, and played a summer flower game on the computer where we all designed our own flower.
We played Color/Shape Bingo, sang the Shape Rap, danced the Hokey Pokey Shape Up, threw beanbags on shapes, and followed multi step directions with shapes. Our AM class had gym on Monday and our PM class heard a story from Mrs. Lane in our classroom on Tuesday.
Odds and Ends:
Our OTES life skill for the week was responsibility- to be accountable for your actions.
All Summer Enrichment forms have now been turned over to Administration with the deadline passing on 5/13.
Thursday- Show and Tell- My favorite toy!
