This Week’s Highlights:
It was another fun week of review in preschool.
Crafts included completing and coloring a Dot to Dot number page, decorating sugar cookies with icing and sprinkles, and constructing birthday puppets.
We explored a number 19 counting jar, ordered numbers to 19, counted forward and backward, and followed a number path to 19.
We practiced 1 to 1 correspondence counting; played Red Light, Green Light; reviewed all alphabet letters and sounds, drew alphabet letters in shaving cream; assembled an alphabet caterpillar; and danced “The Phonercize”.
Today, Thursday, we celebrated everybody’s birthdays with birthday puppets, birthday cupcakes, and birthday songs.
We also took advantage of the warmer weather to run, jump, play, and explore Mrs. Zabst’s new playhouse on the playground. We snacked on our decorated cookies, Alphabet Cereal, and of course, birthday cake!
Odds and Ends:
Our OTES life skill for the week was sense of humor- to laugh and be playful without hurting others.
