Hello! I am Sara Paul and I will be teaching math. I have been teaching math at Westfield Intermediate School since 2006. I grew up in South Bend and went to Butler University. In 2009, I got my Master’s in Math Education. My husband Travis and I have been married eleven years. I have a five year old daughter named Chloe and a two year old son named Conner. I LOVE math and I hope to encourage that love of math with your child.
My name is Michelle Mapes-Hewitt and I will be teaching Language Arts. I graduated from Ball State University with an undergraduate and master degree in Elementary Education with a Computer Endorsement. I am married to my wonderful husband, Jeff Hewitt. We are an enormous, blended family! Together we have five children- Alexis , Nathan, Kaitlyn, Alex, Logan and one German Shepard- Adi. As a family, we stay extremely busy with everyday life, school and sports! When I am not at work, I spend many hours in the gym coaching! I am the Varsity Volleyball coach at WHS. I also run the Westfield Rocks Volleyball Club here at WIS. I am excited to be working in this building and I look forward to getting to know all of the WIS families!
Hello Science and Social Studies! This is Amanda Crussel and I am pleased to teach you two of my favorite subjects this year! This is my tenth year of teaching and my sixth year teaching the 6th grade. 😀 My degree is from Ball State University in Elementary Education with a focus on Physical Education and Wellness. My husband, and I have a wonderful son and we live in Westfield. Some of my hobbies include the outdoors, sports, church activities, crafts, reading, and being with my family! My greatest joy is encouraging others and soaking up time with my dearest family and friends.
I am Michelle Foster and I will be the resource teacher on our team. I have taught resource students for 20 years and have 25 years total experience as a teacher working with students ranging from 3rd grade to high school. I attended Indiana University and earned my B.A. in Special Education as I focused on learning disabilities, mild disabilities and emotional handicaps. I also hold a master’s degree in Quality Schools. I have been happily married to my husband, Andy, for 24 years. We have a SENIOR son in high school and two daughters in college. In my spare time I enjoy exercising, reading and especially being a mom and wife.
